The North Fork Crow River Watershed Collaborative began creating a comprehensive watershed management plan (CWMP) in 2015 through the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources' One Watershed, One Plan (1W1P) program. ​

A comprehensive watershed management plan brings together all the people that live, work, and visit the watershed to develop goals and actions to restore and protect the natural resources in the watershed. This CWMP provides implementation strategies that are prioritized and targeted that will result in measurable resource improvements.
